The one-day Forklift Certification class at Wiregrass Georgia Technical College will provide a Class 4 Certification for students who complete and pass the course. This OSHA-approved course provides:

  • Formal Classroom Instruction
  • Practical Training behind the wheel
  • Evaluation of the operator's performance

Completion of this course will provide learners with the skills necessary to operate a forklift with an Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) that can handle loads from 3,000 - 15,5000 lbs. It will also teach students how to identify and avoid common accidents and injuries in the workplace.

Who should take this course?

OSHA requires that all employees who operate a forklift are certified, even if driving a forklift is only a small part of the employee's job. The course at Wiregrass is perfect for:

  • Employees who will are required to use a forklift as part of their job duties
  • Job seekers who wish to become employed in an industry that utilizes forklifts
  • Employees who have let their Forklift Certification expire and need to be re-certified
