Course Description



***PLEASE NOTE: All communication for this program will be conducted via email. Please provide an accurate email address and check it regularly for updates.

Cost: $500/student
Students per Session: Each class has 25 seats. Students are registered once the application, learner’s permit, and payment are received. Completing the application alone does not guarantee a spot. Scholarship applicants will be notified by GDEC on the first day of the month via email. To retain their seat, scholarship recipients must forward their award email immediately to driversed@wiregrass.edu. If not awarded the scholarship, alternative payment is due by the listed deadline. Please notify us as soon as possible if your student needs to be dropped from the course, so we can offer the seat to another student.
Scholarship Availability: Students ages 15 through 17 can apply for a scholarship through the Georgia Driver's Education Commission. (Read more here!)
Curriculum: The course includes 30 hours of classroom instruction and 6 hours of behind-the-wheel training. This program satisfies the requirements of Joshua's Law.
Certification: Upon successful completion, students will receive a Certificate of Completion, fulfilling the Georgia DDS requirements for teens seeking to obtain their Class D driver's license.
